David Murphy

President

David joined Cardinal Health in April 2016 as President, Cardinal Health Canada. With a national footprint and 1,000 employees across the country, Cardinal Health is an essential link in the healthcare supply chain and provides product and service solutions across the entire continuum of Canadian healthcare.

Throughout his leadership career, David has a track record of building great teams and strong, customer-focused cultures. Prior to joining Cardinal Health, David spent ten years at Stryker, leading their businesses in Canada and Latin America.

David is very active within the medical technology industry. Currently, he serves on the Healthcare and Life Sciences Advisory Board at the Rotman School of Management, and on the GS1 Healthcare Sector Board.

Before finding his passion in healthcare, David held a number of leadership positions in the consumer products industry. He holds a B.A. (Hons) from McMaster University, and a law degree and MBA from the University of Toronto. He resides in Dundas, Ontario with his wife and two daughters.


Chantal Blanchard, CPA

VP Sales, Cardinal Health Products

Chantal currently leads the Patient Recovery business. Chantal joined Medtronic 10 years ago after 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in various management roles in Finance and Marketing. She took increasing responsibilities at Medtronic and managed the Medical, Respiratory and Renal business units. The Patient Recovery team has a consistent performance record and contributed to the overall organization performance delivering on or above target 3 times in the past 4 years.


Don Céré

VP National Marketing & Business Development

Don Céré is Vice-President of National Marketing and Business Development for Cardinal Health Canada.

Don joined Cardinal Health Canada in August of 1995, bringing over 20 years of progressive experience in healthcare, the public sector and finance. He is presently responsible for Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance, Corporate Communications, Supplier Operations, National Accounts and GPO sales, and Marketing related to our supplier and Cardinal HealthTM Brand Products.

During his tenure at Cardinal Health Canada, Don has also served as Vice-President, Human Resources, and had responsibility for Acute Care and Continuing Care sales, Legal, Contracts and Customer Care.

Don is a Board member of the Hospital Supply Chain Network, has served on Medec committees, and is a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders.

Don continually strives to build and strengthen relationships with manufacturers and customers, driven by his passion to improve healthcare services for Canadians.


Scott Crawley

Senior Director, Healthcare Solutions

Scott Crawley serves as Sr Director of Healthcare Solutions for Cardinal Health Canada. He is responsible for our Strategic Account Management program, Cardinal Services & Solutions, Distribution Services, and Government & Industry Relations.

Before joining Cardinal Health Canada, Scott held progressive Sales & Marketing leadership roles in the Homecare, Long-term care, and Acute care Industry segments in Canada, the United States, and Australia & New Zealand. He’s had the honor to serve and learn at many of the Industry’s leading organizations in the Acute care sector.

Scott holds a Bachelor’s degree from Western University, a Master’s from Griffith University in Queensland Australia, and multiple Executive development certificates from the Institute of Corporate Directors, Harvard’s Business and Law schools, Wharton Business School, and MIT.

Scott is deeply passionate about Healthcare and committed to mobilizing Cardinal’s unique resources to support Canada’s value based transformation across the continuum of care and to help make Cardinal Health the preferred partner in Canadian Healthcare.


Frank Fortino

VP IT & Customer Care

Frank Fortino is the Vice-President of Technology and Customer Care at Cardinal Health Canada. In this role, Frank leads four national teams: Technology, Customer Care, PMO and Business Intelligence.

Throughout his 23-year career, Frank has led Technology, Lean Six Sigma, Lean Agile Development and Customer Care teams with a proven track record of success, creating great corporate cultures, maximizing team potential and realizing real business value. Prior to joining Cardinal Health Canada, Frank was responsible for leading the execution of the corporate and product strategy at Workopolis, where he led Product Development, IT Operations, the PMO and the National Customer Support Centre. For four consecutive years at Workopolis, he attained a team engagement score of over 85%.

Frank’s prior experience also includes Vice-President designations at PdMAIN, a leading ERP and TMS software provider; Basis 100 Inc., a SaS provider in the financial services industry; as well as various leadership roles at General Electric Co., including North American e-Commerce Leader and Black Belt.

Frank holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto. He is married and has three children, which he will say, top any professional accomplishments he has ever attained. He enjoys hockey, movies, karaoke and anything Star Wars (the original trilogy).


Sharene Herdman

VP Human Resources

Sharene is the Vice President of Human Resources at Cardinal Health Canada, whose responsibility includes the development, implementation and maintenance of a corporate human resource strategy within the highest level of the organisation that aligns vision and long-term business objectives.

Sharene joined Cardinal Health in March 2017, bringing over 20 years of progressive leadership experience across multiple HR disciplines, with a focus on change leadership skills and business talent strategy along with her experience leading several acquisitions and divestitures.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Sharene held several senior HR roles in the Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical and Consumer Packaged Goods industries, most notably at Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer.

Sharene holds Business Administration and Management & Operations certificates in Executive Leadership Development from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a Business Administration and Management certificate in Executive Development from Harvard University, a Post Graduate degree in Human Resources from Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology in Toronto and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.

Sharene is passionate about social and health related causes and along with her daughters, donates her time to supporting numerous charitable organizations.

Nicole Ouellet

Director RAQA

Nicole serves as the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at Cardinal Health Canada where she has the responsibility of leading regulatory, compliance and quality strategies in alignment with business priorities.

Nicole joined the organization in August 2017, bringing with her over 15 years of Regulatory and Quality experience at various Global Medtech organizations including Boston Scientific, Medtronic and most recently Abbott.

In these progressive leadership roles, she has established the regulatory and quality functions as a competitive advantage by developing and executing on key strategies. She has successfully lead organizations through various acquisitions and integrations. She fosters a mindset of being a solutions provider which enables her to support the business effectively.

Nicole holds an Honours Bachelors of Science in Biology and a Masters of Science in Nutrition and Toxicology from the University of Guelph.

Nicole resides in Nobleton with her twins and enjoys outdoor activities and athletics.


Fernando Pica

VP Finance & CFO

Fernando Pica serves as Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer for Cardinal Health Canada.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health Canada, Fernando was Vice-President of Finance, Supply Chain and Laboratory Operations at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, where he was responsible for executing strategies in a portfolio to improve patient care, flow and operational effectiveness under the Province’s Health System Funding Reform, as well as championing the hospital’s pursuit of Molecular Genetic capabilities. He previously held positions of increasing responsibility within the Sports Nutrition and Life Sciences industries, where he led corporate legal entity restructurings, implementations of finance shared service centres in Europe and ERP implementation throughout the world, corporate refinancing plans as well as several CRA and IRS defenses.

Fernando is a Chartered Professional Accountant and has served as a guest speaker at the University of Toronto and within the United States on Canadian Health Care finances, shared service centres and budgeting and forecasting.

Fernando holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business.

Originally from Argentina, Fernando holds a deep passion for soccer (football) as both a player and coach.


Muslim Rizvi

Director, Project Management Office

Muslim Rizvi (preferred name “Rizvi”) is the Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) and e-Commerce (interim) for Cardinal Health Canada. In this role, Rizvi has responsibility for establishing and managing the PMO and leading product development for the e-Commerce site.

Rizvi has 20+ years of varied experience in establishing and managing PMOs, strategy execution, information technology management, Agile product development, developing and implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and managing software application development (e-Commerce) in manufacturing, services, transportation, logistics and distribution companies.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health Canada in 2016, Rizvi held several senior level positions in project management and information technology; he was Director of the PMO at D+H, and, prior to that, at Workopolis, where he was responsible for strategic management, product development of their website, including e-Commerce, PMO, ERP system and Customer Service. Rizvi also served as Director, Operations at PdMAIN Corp.

Rizvi earned his MBA in International Business from the Institute of Business Administration, Pakistan. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Pakistan. In his personal life, he has a passion for theatre. He is a playwright, actor and director. Currently, he is occupied with his two little productions; an 11 year old son and a 9 year old daughter.


Mitchell Sinclair

VP Sales, Distribution and Non-Acute

Mitchell Sinclair is Vice-President of Sales, Distribution & Non-Acute for Cardinal Health Canada. In this role, Mitchell is responsible for sales of our distributed products across the entire continuum of care, spanning the Acute Care, Long Term Care and Alternate site markets as well as our complete portfolio including Cardinal brand specific to the Long Term Care & Alternate site markets.

Before joining Cardinal Health Canada, Mitchell served as National Director of Clinical Sales for both Nestle Health Science and, prior to that, Novartis Nutrition, where he was responsible for the sales of their full line of enteral and oral nutritional products as well as their Enteral Device product lines.

Mitchell earned his Bachelor of Physical Education from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He currently serves on the Commercial Advisory Board for the Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLTCA).

Mitchell resides in Vaughan, Ontario with his wife and three children. His passion for healthcare sales has him constantly striving for new business in all the channels Cardinal Health Canada serves.


Gilles Thériault

VP Operations

Gilles Thériault is the Vice-President of Operations for Cardinal Health Canada. Gilles has more than 20 years of logistics and supply chain leadership experience, including 10+ years of experience in health care. He joins us from Medtronic, where he led Canadian supply chain operations for the combined Medtronic/Covidien organization.

Throughout his career, Gilles has built and led strong, customer-focused operations teams and consistently delivered on financial commitments. In addition, he is certified in project management, six sigma and lean manufacturing. Prior to his career in the private sector, Gilles received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Royal Military College, and served in leadership roles in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Gilles resides in the Montreal area with his wife and their two children. His passion is sports; he plays tennis, hockey and golf, and loves to go skiing with the whole family in the winter months. Gilles is based in our Dorval office.
