Russell Schuster

Russell Schuster

President, Cardinal Health, Canada

Russell Schuster was named President, Cardinal Health Canada in November, 2020.

Russell joined Cardinal Health in 2017 as a Vice President, Corporate Development with responsibility for identification and execution of M&A, Partnerships and Joint Ventures across the Enterprise. Most recently, he held the role of Senior Vice President and led the Strategy and Business Development efforts for the Medical Segment at Cardinal Health. Russell has nearly 25 years’ experience in corporate finance, strategy and M&A work and, immediately prior to joining Cardinal Health, he led corporate development efforts for Republic Services in Chicago, IL.

Earlier in his career, Russell was a Senior Vice President in investment banking advisory with Barclays (Lehman Brothers).  Prior to that, he was with the Transaction Advisory and Corporate Audit groups at Ernst & Young LLP.

Russell received his MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management’s accelerated 1-Year program and his bachelor’s in Accounting/Business Law from Miami University (OH).

Russell is a CPA and served on the Board of Directors for naviHealth, Inc. until its acquisition in 2020.

Elizabeth Arnold

Regional Finance Leader

Elizabeth Arnold joined Cardinal Health Canada in February 2020 and serves as the Regional Finance Leader for Canada. Elizabeth brings over 15 years of progressive financial leadership and expertise from the healthcare and consumer packaged goods industries and four years of expertise from a leading audit firm.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Elizabeth held progressive and diverse financial leadership roles in the medical devices, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods industries—most recently at Johnson and Johnson.

Throughout her career, Elizabeth has built strong teams, inspiring them to be resourceful, collaborative and solutions focused. She has proven excellence at leveraging experiences and insights—inspiring cross-functional collaboration, shaping solutions, and driving results in diverse businesses experiencing rapid change.

Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and received her Chartered Accounting (CPA, CA) designation while she worked at KPMG.

Elizabeth is married and has two sons and a dog. She enjoys relaxing with her family and friends and traveling to scenic locations around the world.

Chantal Blanchard

VP Sales

Chantal serves as the Vice President of Sales at Cardinal Health Canada. In her role, she leads our various national sales teams focused on maximizing market potential in Acute Care, Long Term Care and Alternate Care markets for both the Cardinal brands portfolio as well as our vast distributed product portfolio.

Before joining Cardinal Health, Chantal worked for 10 years at Medtronic where she held roles of increasing responsibility—managing the Medical, Respiratory and Renal business units. Her prior experience also includes 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry in various Finance and Marketing management roles.

Chantal holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Université du Québec à Montréal and received her CPA designation.

Dave Clark

Dave Clark

COMMERCIAL EXCELLENCE LEADER

Dave is the Commercial Excellence Leader responsible for Tenders and Pricing, Customer Success, Customer Service and operational effectiveness at Cardinal Health Canada. In his role, he is responsible for providing vision and strategic direction for the evolution and development of the commercial capability for the broader organization including RFP participation, commercial guardrails and leveraging sales tools & processes to drive the business.

Dave joined Cardinal Health in August 2020, bringing over 20 years of progressive cross-functional leadership and business integration responsibilities. Before joining Cardinal Health, Dave worked for Bayer Consumer Health as the VP of Commercial Operations & Strategy and VP of Sales & Category Management.  Prior to that, he worked at Merck Consumer Care as VP Sales & Category Management.

Dave holds a Bachelors Degree from Western University in Economics & Political Science.

Frank Fortino

Frank Fortino

VP Technology

Frank Fortino is the Vice-President of Technology at Cardinal Health Canada. In this role, Frank leads three national teams: Technology, PMO and Business Intelligence.

Throughout his 25-year career, Frank has led Technology, Lean Six Sigma, Lean Agile Development and Customer Care teams with a proven track record of success, creating great corporate cultures, maximizing team potential and realizing real business value. Prior to joining Cardinal Health Canada, Frank was responsible for leading the execution of the corporate and product strategy at Workopolis, where he led Product Development, IT Operations, the PMO and the National Customer Support Centre. For four consecutive years at Workopolis, he attained a team engagement score of over 85%.

Frank’s prior experience also includes Vice-President designations at PdMAIN, a leading ERP and TMS software provider; Basis 100 Inc., a SaS provider in the financial services industry; as well as various senior leadership roles at General Electric Co., including Director, e-Commerce North America and and Six Sigma Black Belt.

He has been a keynote speaker for several organizations in the past including, CIO Magazine, International Quality and Productivity Centre, Purchasing Management Association of Canada, Canadian Professional Sales Association, GTEC and the General Electric E-Commerce Council.

Frank holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto. He plays an active role leading fundraising events in his local community for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Frank holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto. He is married and has three children, which he will say, top any professional accomplishments he has ever attained. He enjoys hockey, movies, karaoke and anything Star Wars (the original trilogy).

Sharene Herdman

VP Human Resources

Sharene is the Vice President of Human Resources at Cardinal Health Canada, whose responsibility includes the development, implementation and maintenance of a corporate human resource strategy within the highest level of the organisation that aligns vision and long-term business objectives.

Sharene joined Cardinal Health in March 2017, bringing over 20 years of progressive leadership experience across multiple HR disciplines, with a focus on change leadership skills and business talent strategy along with her experience leading several acquisitions and divestitures.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Sharene held several senior HR roles in the Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical and Consumer Packaged Goods industries, most notably at Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer.

Sharene holds Business Administration and Management & Operations certificates in Executive Leadership Development from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a Business Administration and Management certificate in Executive Development from Harvard University, a Post Graduate degree in Human Resources from Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology in Toronto and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.

Sharene is passionate about social and health related causes and along with her daughters, donates her time to supporting numerous charitable organizations.

Marnie McCormick

VP Marketing and Product Management

Marnie McCormick joined Cardinal Health Canada in October 2016 and serves as the Vice President of Marketing and Non-Acute Sales. She is a transparent and energetic leader with almost two decades of experience across both the Pharmaceutical & Medical Device industries, in Canada as well as internationally. Marnie has a reputation of building great teams and consistently delivering results.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health Canada, Marnie was the Head of Commercial Excellence & Corporate Strategy at Baxter, where she was instrumental in establishing and leading the launch of multiple commercial processes that contributed to company-wide growth. During this time, she designed and implemented this new function and led a highly engaged team that had wide reaching impact.

Marnie also spent fourteen years in the Pharmaceutical industry at AstraZeneca where she held progressively senior roles across both sales and marketing. She led brands in both primary care and specialty markets across the entire product lifecycle including the pre-launch and launch of well-known primary care brands in the area of Cardiovascular and Diabetes.

Victoria Miller

Victoria Miller

Director, Communications

Victoria Miller serves as the Director, Communications where she is responsible for leading both our internal and external communication strategies in alignment with business goals and priorities. She is also the communications business partner to the President.

Victoria joined Cardinal Health Canada in 2017, with over a decade of experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Cardinal Health Canada, she held positions of increasing responsibility in Communications at Stryker—first in the Canada business and most recently at the corporate headquarters in Michigan. Victoria has consistently demonstrated the ability to partner effectively with the business and to use communications to enable the achievement of strategic priorities and business results.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from McMaster University.

Victoria resides in Dundas, Ontario with her husband and their family. When she is not in the office, Victoria and her family enjoy outdoor activities as well as cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays.

Nicole Ouellet

Director RAQA

Nicole serves as the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at Cardinal Health Canada where she has the responsibility of leading regulatory, compliance and quality strategies in alignment with business priorities.

Nicole joined the organization in August 2017, bringing with her over 15 years of Regulatory and Quality experience at various Global Medtech organizations including Boston Scientific, Medtronic and most recently Abbott.

In these progressive leadership roles, she has established the regulatory and quality functions as a competitive advantage by developing and executing on key strategies. She has successfully lead organizations through various acquisitions and integrations. She fosters a mindset of being a solutions provider which enables her to support the business effectively.

Nicole holds an Honours Bachelors of Science in Biology and a Masters of Science in Nutrition and Toxicology from the University of Guelph.

Nicole resides in Nobleton with her twins and enjoys outdoor activities and athletics.

Jeff Porubcansky

VP SERVICES AND HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS

Jeff joined Cardinal Health Canada in June of 2020 and currently serves as Vice President, Services and Healthcare Solutions.

Jeff is a highly energetic leader with a passion for talent development and building high-performing teams. Over the last 20 years, Jeff has worked across the pharmaceutical, medical, and consumer industry, which has allowed him to gain a global supply chain perspective. Prior to joining the Canada business, Jeff led Commercial Operations for Cardinal Health WaveMark™ Supply Management & Workflow Solutions, which provides clients a hardware and software enabled data and analytics solution aimed at reducing the unnecessary cost of care through optimized supply chain management and clinical workflow processes.

As a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Jeff has spent the last 14 years of his career at Cardinal Health working on transformational initiatives directly with healthcare providers to improve efficiencies and lower costs. He has held a number of roles across both the pharmaceutical and medical segments of Cardinal Health, including VP, Commercial Operations, Director of Operations, as well as Director of Marketing, Business Development, Sales and Operational Excellence. His full understanding of the supply chain has enabled him to successfully achieve material efficiencies and deliver cost savings through collaborative efforts with hospitals.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts in Account and Business Administration from Otterbein University. Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Jeff worked at Target Corporation and in healthcare consulting.

Muslim Rizvi

SENIOR DIRECTOR, PMO & Enterprise Systems

Muslim Rizvi (preferred name “Rizvi”) is the Senior Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) and Enterprise Systems for Cardinal Health Canada. In this role, Rizvi’ s responsibilities span over three key areas including PMO, e-commerce ( B2B & B2C) and Enterprise Systems ( ERP, WMS, TMS, etc.)

Rizvi has 20+ years PMO & Technology leadership experience in strategic and operational execution helping businesses apply technology and other business change levers to achieve strategic goals. In his career Rizvi has established and managed PMOs, managed strategy execution, managed and lead information technology and ‘Agile’ software development teams, developed and implemented Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and managed e-Commerce in manufacturing, services, transportation, logistics and distribution companies.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health Canada in 2016, Rizvi held several senior level positions in project management and information technology; he was Director of the PMO at D+H, and, prior to that, at Workopolis, where he was responsible for Strategic Management, Product Development, e-Commerce, PMO, ERP system and Customer Service. Rizvi also served as Director, Operations at PdMAIN Corp.

Rizvi earned his MBA in International Business from the Institute of Business Administration, Pakistan. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Pakistan. In his personal life, he has a passion for theatre and arts. He is a playwright, actor and director and is currently deeply involved and occupied with his two major productions; a teenage son and a daughter.

Director, Legal and Compliance

Victor joined Cardinal Health Canada in 2019 and is Director and Head of Legal and Compliance, with responsibility for both leading the Legal department and overseeing the Compliance program.

Prior to joining the organization, Victor was Director and Counsel at DRI Capital, a healthcare private equity fund, where he led legal aspects of investment diligence, transactions, financing and fund formation.  In a past role as Assistant General Counsel at Iovate Health Sciences, a sports nutrition CPG company, he held general legal and management responsibilities.  Victor began his legal career litigating pharmaceutical patent cases at a boutique IP firm.

In a prior life, Victor worked in pharmaceutical product development at GlaxoSmithKline, and stood behind the counter practicing as a pharmacist.  Victor holds an MBA from Ivey Business School, a law degree from Western University and a pharmacy degree from University of Toronto.

Gilles Thériault

Gilles Thériault

VP Operations

Gilles Thériault is the Vice-President of Operations for Cardinal Health Canada. Gilles has more than 20 years of logistics and supply chain leadership experience, including 10+ years of experience in health care. He joins us from Medtronic, where he led Canadian supply chain operations for the combined Medtronic/Covidien organization.

Throughout his career, Gilles has built and led strong, customer-focused operations teams and consistently delivered on financial commitments. In addition, he is certified in project management, six sigma and lean manufacturing. Prior to his career in the private sector, Gilles received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Royal Military College, and served in leadership roles in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Gilles resides in the Montreal area with his wife and their two children. His passion is sports; he plays tennis, hockey and golf, and loves to go skiing with the whole family in the winter months. Gilles is based in our Dorval office.
