Isabelle ML Girard is Director of Legal Affairs at Cardinal Health Canada. She provides legal and compliance support to all commercial, distribution and manufacturing operations nationwide. Isabelle is a seasoned legal executive with international experience in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law, with a focus on the healthcare, pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors.
Prior to joining Cardinal Health Canada, she held senior leadership roles at McKesson, AstraZeneca, 3M, and Pfizer, where she managed legal teams across Latin America, Canada, and Mexico. Over the course of her career, Isabelle has advised on high-impact transactions, government relations, compliance programs, and regulatory frameworks, including the integration of new businesses, as well as major acquisitions and divestitures.
A trilingual professional fluent in English, French, and Spanish, she holds law degrees from the University of Ottawa and a science degree in physiology from McGill University. Isabelle is also a recognized advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession, and recipient of multiple awards including the Chambers & Partners Diversity & Inclusion Award. She is also an expert speaker on the topics of international legal strategy, healthcare law, compliance, and leadership in legal operations.
